HMRC says 750,000 people born between two dates have £2,000 to claim

HMRC reports that 758,000 Child Trust Fund accounts remain unclaimed, each holding an average of £2,242. The total unclaimed amount is approximately £1.7 billion, with anyone born between September 1, 2002 and January 2, 2011 potentially eligible.
