Project 2025 resurfaced as the talking point after Donald Trump claimed victory in an election which was thought closer than a coin toss. Project 2025 was a 900-page policy wish list from which Donald Trump distanced himself as it was at the center of a major controversy for its conservation vision. Right-wing think tank The Heritage Foundation drafted Project 2025 and it was unveiled in April 2023. The Kamala Harris campaign resisted Project 2025 while the Republicans disavowed it.
