Coalition promises to halve fuel excise, shaving 25c off a litre of petrol

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton will promise to halve the tax on fuel for 12 months in his budget reply on Thursday, which the Coalition says would save a two-car household roughly $28 a week on average and reduce inflationary pressures.
