Luxury spa hidden beneath busy Leeds city centre street gets glam makeover

Lush Spa in Leeds city centre has launched their rewilding facial

Take a look inside the luxury spa deep below Leeds city centre after the venue enjoyed freshening makeover.

Some might not know that underneath bath bomb extraordinaire Lush it actually has a rather (pardon the doubling up) lush spa. Those lucky enough to walk through the modest little door in the Commercial Street store, will be transported to something rather special with each passing step.

Downstairs, you’ll find comfy consultation spots and treatment rooms with a wide range of pamper options available. Alongside the Leeds spa, the beauty and wellbeing retailer has spas accompanying their stores in Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Birmingham.

The Leeds city centre Lush Spa enjoyed a glow-up at the start of 2025. While the venue underwent its makeover, the skilled staff were trained in Lush’s latest treatment in the shape of the rewilding facial (£150).

This 50-minute lifting facial utilises hot and cold therapy, facial massage and lymphatic techniques with the aim of making skin look sculpted and rejuvenated. This is all relaxingly carried out to the tune of a bespoke soundtrack of historic nature folk songs.

Jody Bailey, Lush Spa treatment developer, said: “One of the best things you can do for your skin and overall wellbeing is to go outside and be in nature, so in this treatment we want the client to feel as though they are outside. Lots of our Lush Spa guests were asking for a lifting facial using our lovely products, so this is our answer to that.

“You can come for this as a maintenance treatment or a luxurious treatment, and it’s going to help maintain muscle integrity, tension relief and lymph drainage. Inspired by the concept of rewilding the skin, the client and the earth – we leave everything Lusher than we found it.”
