Channel 5's latest drama offering, The Feud, aired its third episode to eager viewers, but there was one aspect that proved distracting for some.
The captivating show began on Monday (April 14) and has been drawing in audiences with its stellar lineup. It weaves the tale of a seemingly ordinary suburban couple whose idyllic home extension project spirals into a series of unfortunate events.
A peaceful neighbourhood quickly becomes a hotbed of chaos, as growing tensions spark fierce confrontations and long-kept secrets come to light.
Leading the cast is the acclaimed Jill Halfpenny, recognised for her roles as Rebecca Hopkins in ITV's Coronation Street, Kate Mitchell in EastEnders, and Izzie Redpath in Waterloo Road.

She's joined by Rupert Penry-Jones of Spooks fame, and Tessa Peake-Jones who many will know from Only Fools and Horses.
Wednesday's (April 16) episode saw the plot thicken with dramatic revelations shaking up the street. Meanwhile, Emma faces a sinister turn in events as she finds herself receiving increasingly ominous notes, reports Chronicle Live.
Despite the gripping storylines, some viewers couldn't help but be unsettled by the "constant" backdrop of music throughout the series.
Many took to social media to express their opinions, with one viewer commenting: "I really like #TheFeud .... great cast. Shame the background music is so loud though."
Another shared their frustration, saying: "The background music is annoying #thefeud."

A viewer shared their reservations, tweeting: "The dilemma of whether to stick with #thefeud and invest another hour or two or just sack it off... because I'm just not getting it so far? Plus, the incidental music is b****y cacophonous."
Another commenter agreed about the audio issues: "Plus the dreadful intrusive music!", they added.
Yet, it was not all criticism, as some viewers were quick to laud the series, with a fan posting: "The third episode of the brilliant @channel5_tv drama #TheFeud is about begin. How tense are things getting? ."
Joining in the praise, one X user exclaimed: "Well done 5 another good one".
