Fire crews remain on the scene following a huge moorland fire near Saddleworth overnight.
Three blazes broke out on land surrounding Greater Manchester on Thursday evening (April 10).
Two were dealt with overnight, while one remains ongoing at March Haigh Reservoir in Marsden, near to Denshaw.
Firefighters were first called out to the reservoir at around 5pm on Thursday, working through the night to bring the fire under control.
Some crews worked through the night, while others returned to the scene before dawn.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Six wildfire crews are at the scene using beaters, blowers and argocats to tackle the fire, which continues to burn.
"We are working with support of our partners including the RSPB and the National Trust.
"The public are being asked to continue to avoid the area. Further updates will follow today."
Firefighters also remain at the scene of a moorland blaze between Crowden and Tintwistle near Glossop, off Woodhead Pass, which caused the road to close for a number of hours yesterday.
A Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters are continuing to tackle a wildfire in woodland off the A628 Woodhead Road near Glossop.
"Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service was first called to the fire at 6.57pm yesterday (Thursday, April 10).
"Attending crews were from Glossop, New Mills, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Bradwell, Hathersage, Whaley Bridge, along with water carriers from Buxton and Clay Cross, and the Mountain Rescue drone unit.
"Firefighting continued late into the evening until darkness, with four crews returning to the scene shortly after 6.30am this morning (Friday 11 April). The fire involves approximately 4,000 square metres of woodland and conifer.
"The A628 was closed yesterday between the A57 at Hollingworth and the A616 at Flouch but has since reopened."
At around 9pm on Thursday evening, flames could be seen spreading across the top of Musbury Tor near Helmshore in Rossendale.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At 8.30pm on April 10, 2025, two fire engines from Haslingden and Bacup along with the drone team, wildfire units from Bacup and Rawtenstall with the Haagland and beaver tail specialist appliances all responded to a moorland fire on Tor Hill, Haslingden.
"The fire consisted of 150 square metres of scorched grassland which was extinguished using three aqualeader backpacks and three leaf blowers. Fire crews were on scene for 35 minutes."

In an update in the last hour, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze at Crowden Moor, near Glossop 'is now believed to be out.'

Firefighting continued late into the evening until darkness, with fire crews and partners returning to the area this morning (Friday 11 April) to continue tackling the fire.
The fire, which involved approximately 4,000 square metres of woodland and conifer, was extinguished using water backpacks, hose reel jets and argocats.
Fire crews remain on scene as work gets underway to remove the firefighting equipment that has been supporting firefighting operations.
Everyone working to resolve the fire has also been supported by the Salvation Army.
Woodhead Pass traffic
Traffic is having to take turns in each direction while passing the scene of the fire, according to Inrix.
Traffic management is in place between Crowden and Tintwistle.
Marsden update
One fire crew remains on the scene, alongside conservation experts.
Firefighters are expected to leave the area soon.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:
"One crew remain at the scene handing the incident over the National Trust colleagues.
"The RSPB and National Trust will remain in attendance to work on the area.
"We'd like to thank all our partner agencies and the public for their help and patience while we tackled this fire."

Tor Hill fire statement
Crews in Lancashire dealt with a fire at Tor Hill last night - one of three moor fires affecting areas near Manchester.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service says the fire was at 1.5km x 1.5km and 'developing rapidly' on Thursday night.
People are being urged to avoid the paths and area around March Haigh Reservoir.
The fire has been visible for miles around, including from Saddleworth.
Public warned 'avoid' Marsden area amid ash and smoke
Firefighters are gathering at separate points across Marsden Moor as they plot how to continue their efforts to tackle the large wildfire that took hold yesterday evening, spreading out over multiple miles of moorland.
Local residents are being advised that air quality is "poor" due to the presence of ash and smoke, with the general public being warned to avoid the area and roads around it.
Fire Crews are mustering to begin tackling the blaze again as the sun rises, with multiple specialist teams working blowers and beaters to prevent the blaze from spreading further.
Firefighters from Slaithwaite Fire Station shared in an update: "Crews have gathered at access points around the Moor for briefings and are preparing to head on to the Moor as soon as light permits. Please avoid the area and surrounding roads.
"The weather conditions have continued to bring smoke and ash across Marsden and Slaithwaite so be aware of poor air quality if you're vulnerable. We have 3 wildfire units with all-terrain vehicles, and multiple wildfire and non-wildfire crews with blowers and beaters."

Important route reopens after fire near Glossop
A key road connecting Manchester and Sheffield has just reopened, after being shut for around five hours while fire crews tackled a blaze that broke out on the hills around Glossop.
The A628 Woodhead Pass, which connects Manchester to Sheffield through Glossop and Snake Pass, was closed in both directions while firefighters tackled the wildfire.
National Highways updated traffic sensors on the key route to state: "A628 Woodhead Road in both directions reopened, earlier fire from New Road (Tintwistle) to Crowden (Crowden)."
Fire crews withdrawn from reservoir
The firefighting response to the incident around March Haigh Reservoir has withdrawn for the night while crews remain in place overnight to monitor the situation.
The crew from Slaithwaite Fire Station said on social media: "Crews have been withdrawn from the moorland. Strategic crews are monitoring the fire throughout the night to ensure no risk developes to life or property.
"Crews will return tomorrow at day break."
Fire service details huge scale of fire around reservoir
Firefighters are continuing to monitor the large fire that developed this evening around March Haigh Reservoir, which has drawn in six fire crews from across the region.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service described the wildfire as measuring 1km wide and 2km long, with the fire "developing rapidly."
Alongside the six fire crews, five wildfire support units were deployed to tackle the blaze, with firefighters using "blowers, beaters and two argocat vehicles" alongside their pumps.
In their most recent update, WYFRS said: "Crews remain on scene to monitor the situation as the night progresses.
"We thank the public for their cooperation in avoiding the area, and to our partner agencies for helping us with the incident."
Residents watch from their gardens as fire tears across moor
People have been sharing images of the wildfires currently tearing across moorland in the region, with some watching from their gardens as the hills around them catch alight.
A Huddersfield resident shared her view of the fire still rolling across the moors in Kirklees, which has filled the evening sky with smoke and a bright orange tinge.

The latest in a series
These are the latest in a series of moorland fires, including a blaze at Dovestone Reservoir on Sunday afternoon. Firefighters with specialist equipment were scrambled to the scene as people were urged to stay away.
Last week, fire crews battled two moorland fires which started within hours of each other. Around four acres of grassland set alight on moorland close to Woodhead Pass, near the Torside reservoir, in the Peak District on Tuesday evening (April 1).
Crews from Glossop and New Mills spent around two hours at the scene, after being called out at 7.18pm, before returning to the area this morning to check for any hotspots.
Later on Tuesday night, firefighters battled another moorland fire near to Greenfield, in Saddleworth.
