Gogglebox star's raunchy bedroom remark leaves Channel 4 fans in hysterics

Gogglebox fans were left in hysterics on Friday evening as they flocked to social media to comment on Mary Killen's reaction to a raunchy soap scene.

On the latest episode of Gogglebox, the Channel 4 favourites had audiences in chuckles as they shared their thoughts on the week's television highlights.

The programme started with a whirlwind as Mary Killen watched a Coronation Street scene that left her unimpressed.

The drama centred around a Corrie character, Abi Webster, who found herself in a peculiar encounter following a minor car collision when an impromptu offer for a passionate tryst was made.

Dumbfounded by the proposal in the storyline, Gogglebox star Mary couldn’t contain her outrage. She remarked: "What makes you think I'd be interested in barnyard sex at such short notice?"

Her husband Giles was visibly bemused as he sat next to her, confounded by both the brazen suggestion in the soap and his wife’s comical outburst, reports the Mirror.

Viewers weren't shy about expressing their amusement on Twitter, praising Mary's candid humour. One fan tweeted: "Mary calling that flirty Corrie scene barnyard sex is hysterical. She is odd but so funny. Why barnyard?? Lol."

Another enthused: "'Barnyard sex at short notice' – Giles and Mary are national treasures. Never change." One viewer added: "I swear Giles and Mary have their own dictionary! Howling!"

Mary’s quip instantly became one of the night's most memorable moments, further cementing the couple's beloved position among the Gogglebox audience.

Mary and Giles have been fan favourites on the Channel 4 show since 2015, known for their sharp humour, light-hearted bickering, and refreshingly honest commentary.

In a previous conversation with Hello!, the couple shared insights into how participating in the show has positively impacted their marriage.

Giles revealed: "Working together on Gogglebox – watching telly at the same time – meant Mary and I suddenly no longer lived like two intimate strangers. It has definitely saved our marriage."

Mary has also been open about their relationship dynamics, referring to Giles as a "retired man of leisure," and endearingly calling him "Nutty" on the programme.

But it's not just Mary's quip that got viewers chuckling in the episode. During the programme, the Malone family's reaction to footage of the Blue Origin rocket launch had them drawing a risqué comparison, prompting laughter from fans.

Audiences didn't hesitate to share their amusement online, with one viewer commenting: "Classic Malone humour."

Another echoed the sentiment, saying: "Having a good old laugh at this. That's exactly what I just said."
