RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose says his side are determined to hold on to Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko this window.
The Gunners are in the market for an attacker and Sesko has been considered, but it has been suggested that a summer move may be more appropriate if an approach is made.
When asked ahead of Leipzig's Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon - in which Sesko scored the opening goal of his side's 2-1 win - if the forward was unavailable for transfer, Rose replied: 'Yes, that's still the case.'
Sesko, 21, has netted 14 times in 26 games this season for the German side, including four times in seven matches in the Champions League. He has become one of Europe's highest-rated forwards.
Mikel Arteta has confirmed Arsenal are looking for solutions in this window and they have been exploring a number of options such as Sesko and Wolves' Matheus Cunha
If their solution is indeed Sesko, it appears unlikely that a move will happen this month on the back of Rose's verdict.

RB Leipzig head coach Marco Rose has insisted his side will not sell Benjamin Sesko this month

Sesko is a target for Arsenal, who currently have Kai Havertz (right) playing as a centre forward

Rose, however, said that it 'is still the case' that Sesko will stay at the club prior to his side's Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon
In the absence of a 'natural' No 9 and Gabriel Jesus suffering a season-ending ACL injury, Kai Havertz has been fulfilling the centre forward role for Arsenal in recent games.
His headed effort in the 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb was his 14th goal of the season, suggesting the Gunners would be able to make do without signing a striker this winter.
But Mikel Arteta's side continue to miss chances regularly, and are the fifth-highest scorers in the Premier League as they continue to chase Liverpool.
The Gunners are currently six points behind Arne Slot's men, who have a game in hand, in the title race. Sesko's Leipzig are fifth in the Bundesliga and 30th in - and out of - the Champions League.
